Re: Amiga Ireland 2021 entries

Thanks! I actually did this one in WinUAE for convenience, but the setup is very light, so it renders fine on my 1200. You just need a bit of RAM/patience to output at HD. Also the glow I applied in ImageFX is quite slow on my 1200, that actually felt like it took longer than the base render! I'm ho...

Amiga Ireland 2021 entries

I though I'd upload the my entry for AI2021. It was fun to do. A bit of a rush job, but sometimes that is best!

Re: Ep.19: Asteroids!!!

Great class as ever.

Layering bump maps is fun!

I used a bit crumple and then the potmark16 texture. Not quite sure if the layering priority makes a difference? Maybe.

Lightwave Memory Segments

Hi, I've been getting a little stuck using LW5 on real hardware using the memory segment feature, resulting in crashes. Because I have plenty of RAM on both systems, I thought I would increase this to help with render times. However, this seems to result in unstable but repeatable behaviour. Certain...

Re: 3D enthusiast from Devon UK

Hi Ross,

I'm a big fan of Blender too, I'm pretty sure there was an OS4 port but only up to 2.4 ish i think.

But I agree, I would love to see some Vista Pro stuff on the channel.

Re: What Amiga models do you all work with?

So I have a couple of options. I have a 1200 with an 030 but no FPU. It's fun to play around with, but isn't really great for 3D. My main machine is a 2000 which has a Videotoaster and Vampire installed, that rocks! The Newtek eco-system is very impressive. For convenience I also use WinUAE on my iM...
