What Amiga models do you all work with?

Post by Iarla »

I have an A1200 myself, but I'm getting into CSS and for a good browser am considering OS4 (the new A1222 probably). I'm working on something that might be able to make use of some animations I've seen in this group since it's also Star Trek related :)

Hi Iarla,

I am on an accelerated A1200 myself, using IBrowse, so I am not able to see CSS yet. A1222 would be a good deal, I hope it gets released soon.

What kind of a webpage are you considering creating?
I'd love to make you something you have imagined, or even help you do it yourself!

Hi Muadib!

Thanks for your enthusiasm!

I want to make a multipurpose LARS interface. So far, it's a barebones RSS reader (only article titles so far) http://amigausers.ie/LCARSpractical/lcars.php

It works best on 1600px display for now but 1280 is okay too.

I have an animated gif on there, but one or two 3 elements would be nice. Could be anything really so something you already have could be fine.

Development could be slow so no hurry :)

Efhariso!

I love LCARS!

Is it help with the interface you want, then?
We can meet on Discord and have a look at it. We can even have it as a Workshop target at AI 2020!

Cool stuff! :D

OK.

My tower 1200 is out of order 2 years now.
After the recap, never got time or space to take it with me.
Anyway the specs were : Mediator, 040/PPC, Voodoo 3m TV Card, LAN100, Soundblaster, 128MB.
Some IDE and SCSI HDDs, CDs.

Now I am working with an A500 with ACA500 and 2MB Fast (ACA) 2 more on to of the internal CPU and 2MB chip.
Also a KCS PowerPC Board for IBM compatibility.

Another one is my A1200 with a Blizzard 030 and 64MB of RAM (Thank to Muadib)

Some A600s and a 2000 are in the closet.

Thanks, I got me some Amiga the last years.
I've got 10 of them, A500-600-1200-2000.

I'm missing the original model though and a CDTV :-(

The Amiga I'm going to use for Imagine is A600+Furia 40 MHz since it's the only one I have with fpu.
I also have:
A1200 with ACA1233n 55 MHz
A500+ with 2 Mb chipmem, ACA500+ and ACA1233n 40 MHz
A500 with 512 Kb extra mem and external harddrive

After Muadib's Lightwave 3D workshops at Amiga Ireland 2020, I think I will run Lightwave 3D on emulation and give it a try. The video should be available soon. An 030 card with FPU might follow :~)

Just fired up mine after many months.

I installed a potentiometer for the CPU/FPU fan (from a laptop)

Check it here after the RPi post
