Are there any publically available objects for Lightwave for Amiga computers and screens? Where can we find them?

That's a good question Walkero - I'd like to know too.

There were tutorials with the magazines which had some prepared objects, but a large collection would be great, as it would be time consuming to find which issues had objects on their coverdisks.

@Walkero Not that I know of, however, the LW5.0r archive has a lot of objects for use non-commecially.

Your idea of making a LW5 Content repository for those that wish to share their creations would be great!

There might be some modern models that could be saved to an old lightwave format. Not sure how it has changed over the years. Obj might be an option to.

Good question,
Object format up to LW7 is the same, scene format deviates a little. After LW7 things change, although one can convert objects from inside LW, say ver.9. This could be theoretically done from Blender, too although its not problem-free.

I had done such a conversion for the Viper mk2, located here: http://aminet.net/pix/3dobj/lw_ViperMk2.lha
In the archive description you will find in detail the steps I followed to convert it.

Let me know if you have any questions. :D
