Would be great to do this with the Amiga community

Post by Iarla »

3D artists submitted a 5 second animation each. They were stitched together.

Such a good idea. The standard was v high there but it would be great to achieve something that brings people together on Amiga. https://libredd.it/r/nextfuckinglevel/c ... to_create/

GODS! That is A-MA-ZING!!!

Incredible idea! YEah, let's do it, like everything goes, be it pixelart, 3D, whatever.

We have to find a common objective and requirement, like an AmigaBall or something?

Oh, I like the idea of opening it up to other mediums. If we are able, could possibly include ASCII art?

Not sure how to combine them all but we’ll figure it out :) Maybe we should agree on a screen resolution too.

That is definitely something I would love to do something for. Multiple forms of expression would be very cool.

Resolution: 640 x 480 gets my vote. It can be done on a real Amiga. It is 4:3 which fits to the historical legacy of the machine. But let's keep it to square pixels to save all our sanity's. We could actually support two resolutions, 640 x 480 and 320 x 240. So people who are constrained by memory are not left out.

Frame rate: 30fps or 24fps sounds good to me. But we need to choose one.

It would be very cool to simulate a CRT screen as a post process for all animations. I have a good formula I have been working on in After Effects that could work.

Like the idea of the boing ball as the subject. We do need to specify its checkerboard specs though. Some people might end up having more red and white squares than others.
